The difference between Essential Oils and Fragrance Oils
The question that always comes back to us,
What is the difference between an essential oil and a fragrance oil?
Essential oils are made up of 100% natural substances, as opposed to fragrance oils which are created in a laboratory. Essential oils have a myriad of properties that ensure they are able to help with a variety of ailments, including stress reduction, inflammation, mood in-balances, skin irritations and more.
If you are looking for an oil with virtues and benefits you are better off selecting an essential oil.
Fragrance oils are milder and can be used more generously than the more intense essential oil. If you just want to aromatize the mood or a room, you are better off selecting fragrance oils.
Among the high-valued essential oils used as fragrances are citrus, lavender, eucalyptus, tea tree and other floral oils, among others, while linalool, geraniol, limonene, citronellol, and citral are much-appreciated fragrance components used in different cosmetics and candles aroma. But beware, essential oils can be toxic to animals, pregnant women and babies.
So both essential oils and fragrance oils have positive and negative properties and there's no right or wrong; it's simply down to personal preference. Whichever you decide is the fragrance type for you, you will find a suitable product in the our collection.
