This Abies Balsamea Essential Oil is sourced from the needle and twig of the balsam fir evergreen tree in northeastern Canada, where it is organically distilled using steam. With a distinctively balsamic, woodsy aroma, the oil has a clean, light top note reminiscent of freshly crushed fir needles. The Balsam Fir, a native conifer of the cold climates in Canada and the northern US, is easily recognized by its symmetrical spire-like crown, dark green color, and sweet, turpentine fragrance from its abundant resin. Popular as a Christmas tree and for holiday wreaths, this fir is also used in landscape design as a specimen or as part of a windbreak.
