Named after the Filipinas Larimar mine in the Dominican Republic where it was found, Larimar is a rare blue mineral variety of pectolite. It is a hydrated sodium calcium manganese silicate, and it owes its blue color to calcium replaced by copper impurities. The composition of Larimar is often mixed with hematite, calcite, iron, potassium and other materials.

Cleansing & Recharging

You can purify your Larimar stone, bracelet and other jewelry by rinsing them for a long time with clear water or with incense. The mineral can recharge with soft light for one or two hours, preferably at sunrise or sunset. But it is possible to recharge it in moonlight or on a cluster of quartz for a few hours. The blue stone will thus regain all its natural energy.
