Our Calendula Oil is meticulously crafted using a low temperature maceration process (solar-infusion) of vibrant yellow-orange Calendula officinalis flowers and organic Sunflower Oil. Using this method, we extract the beneficial lipid soluble components of the flower. It is important to note that Calendula officinalis should not be confused with True Marigold (Tagetes minuta), which produces Tagetes Essential Oil. The main constituents of Calendula officinalis include sterols, terpenoids, trierpenic alcohols, phenolic acids, and flavonoids such as quercitin, rutin, narcissin, isorhamnetic, and kaempferol. Numerous studies have shown the highly beneficial effects of Calendula extract on problem skin, making it an essential component of any skin care regimen.
